IDHMC to Fund Five HASTAC Scholars: deadline September 8

Each year, HASTAC (the Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory) accepts a new cohort of HASTAC Scholars. HASTAC scholars are “graduate and undergraduate students who are engaged with innovative projects and research at the intersection of digital media & learning, the digital humanities, and technology in the arts, humanities and sciences.” The HASTAC scholars maintain an online presence at the HASTAC site throughout the year by blogging, participating in forums, reporting on events, projects, and publications, and collaborating on projects.

The Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities (IPRH) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks to hire an Andrew W. Mellon Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Humanities for a two-year appointment commencing Fall 2015.  The Fellow will spend the two-year term in residence at Illinois, conduct research on the proposed project, and teach two courses per year in the appropriate academic department.  The Fellow will participate in activities related to his or her research at the IPRH, in the teaching department, and on the Illinois campus.

Each fall, a new cohort of undergraduate and graduate students are nominated to join the community of HASTAC Scholars. This is a great opportunity to share and learn from other digital humanities students across the country and around the world. Potential HASTAC scholars must be nominated by a faculty or staff mentor at their institution, and must commit to engage with the HASTAC community throught the year. Interested?
